Membership Benefits
Members of Chapter 75 enjoy a
monthly meeting with mart & program segments, a monthly news letter,
quarterly horological work shops and, a new feature, clock repair
classes.
Our monthly meetings allow the members to have access to our
extensive library of Horological Books and Video Tapes. The program portion of
the monthly meeting presents interesting programs on Horological topics. Some of
the most recent programs have included Clock Dial Restoration, Unusual Alarm
Clocks and Early Time Clocks. Our members also have the opportunity to buy &
sell related merchandise during the Mart portion of the meetings.
Our newsletter, the "Regulator", contains educational articles,
and want ads of horological items and services. Also included is a Calendar to
update the members on future horological events around California.
The workshops are free to all members of Chapter 75. The
workshops present an excellent opportunity to observe Master Clock & Watch
Restorers up close. Recent workshops have included a Watchmaker Lathe
Demonstration and Brass Polishing.
The Clock repair class is open to all members for a nominal
fee. The class runs for two days every few months. It cover basic clock repair
and maintenance. The Class gives the members the opportunity to get "hands on"
experience working on clock movements with an instructor. To join go to the Membership Information
page.
